"My Computer" Reacts !!!

Hi Again :) !!!!!
My Readers are really strong, they survived my first blog. Hope you are all set to get the next dose of torture :).
Don't get carried away by the title this time, I assure you this is not a technical post at all. So don't worry and read on... This is about a small incident which was narrated to me by my friend who works in an IT company and hence the title is influenced with computer terms.

Here it goes...!!!

I was having a conversation with a friend of mine who narrated me the whole incident which happened to him in his office. Posting here only a part of it wherein only he was speaking (and me being a good listener was just listening to him quietly ;) )

Friend : Hey man!!! last Monday I was sitting in office on my desk after finishing lunch around 3:00 PM. Before going for lunch my PC was totally hung and was not even responding to my mouse clicks or even to keyboard. God only knows what was it doing.
So that's why I took my lunch break and came back and was sitting with my face resting on my left arm staring at the computer screen since it was still in the same mood as I left it before lunch.
My right hand was tapping different keys on the keyboard randomnly and sometimes multiple keys at the same time. I was like pressing the keys so hard that some of the key press were producing some weird noise from the CPU's internal speakers. But still my desktop was adamant, not responding at all. That was driving me crazy.
What the hell!!!! my own desktop, but not responding to me at all. This is it. I can't work like this.
But then suddenly there was a response. The monitor in front of me started reacting. Unbelievable!!!! two eyes appeared near the top of the screen, a nose in the center and a mouth at the bottom, Yes it resembing a face which was like mad with anger, the eyes turned red!!!! The CPU standing behind the monitor appeared to have two hands which were like coming towards me to grab my collar. The cable which was connected to the LAN tied my legs so thightly that I couldn't even move from my place.

I was totally shocked and was looking like a prisoner who is about to get the third degree torture and my face was like full of fear.

Just observed from a corner of my eye that the keyboard and mouse were giggling seeing my condition as if they were saying "You deserves this!!! "

And then suddenly a voice came, yes "My Computer" is speaking to me and he seems to be very angry with me, and it/he (don't know how should I refer to the computer at this stage) ordered me to do sit-ups (10 sit-ups per second). He was mad with anger and I had no option but to listen to him otherwise the strong hands coming out of CPU will punch me hard on my face. Yes thats how he scared me and forced me to do sit-ups. I started the sit-ups but could never in my life I can complete 10 sit-ups in a second. At the end of one second I could barely finish one.
There he goes mad again with his hands coming towards me. I was totally shocked and I started pleading literally " I cannot do 10 sit-ups in one second, that is just not possible for me to, it's not what I am made for. You are asking me to do much more than my capacity". But that made no difference to him, he said that is not my problem, this is an order and you will have to follow it or else be ready for the consequences. His hands were started coming towards me with a force as if that blow would knock me off!!!!
The hands were almost near my nose, and my reflexes worked at this time and I pulled my face back.

I moved my face back to avoid the blow on my face and started staring at my watch..

Me : Umm where did the watch come from in between!!!!!! What happened to your reflexes, they took to near your watch :D. Nice reflexes I must say :P .....

Friend : Ohhhh listen, thats not what I meant. I moved my face back to avoid the blow on my face and suddenly my eyes were near my watch and I looked at the time, it was 3:04 PM. I realised I am dreaming since past 4 min. Looked at the monitor it turned blue all of the sudden. It was not moving at all. My legs were free, I just pushed my legs back with fear as my shoes got stuck into one of the network cables. CPU, keyboard and mouse all were standing still just like anyother inanimate object.

Monitor was turned Blue and the message displayed "Your computer has crashed, core dump at physical location 0xFB2ADF90"

Ahh man I was dreaming, My Computer just crashed. It is not alive and is not punishing me. But then I also realised that for the last 28 days I haven't restarted my computer. And was working just fine up to his full capacity till now for me. It was just that it gave up today and crashed coz of a heavy application still running on it.

Me : Hahahaha!!!!! Don't worry it happens. (Still couldn't stock laughing!!!!!!)


Ohh Oh .. sorry guys I got carried away, it became too big....This is it I am ending the incident here.

True Lies

Hi Guys,
A bit of torture coming your way as you read this blog of mine :P . This is my first attempt to blogging....

Looking at the title it looks to be a weird combination of words, isn't it.
But then if we give a thought over this, it would sound meaningfull, because we truely lie ourselves many times knowingly or unknowingly. Don't believe me!!!! Read on you will realise it gradually!!! :)

During some of our casual talks we often are being asked a question as to what we do to pass our time or what is our hobby. Hmmm now to answer such a question we give a thought ... I watch movies most of the time after the tiring day in office.... but doesn't sound good to be called as a hobby... hey but earlier I used to do a lot of painting..this seems to be a good answer. Ok so here you come up with an answer "I used to like paiting, but these days I like watching movies!!!!". So here you get another question .. Hey painting, that cool!!! why you don't do your painting now. Umm now you come up with an answer "Ahh I don't get much time these days to paint. Earlier while schooling it used to be fun but now after office work don't get much time to paint"
Here you go!!! You just said a True Lie to yourself...... Its not that you cannot take the time out for something you really loved to do. Its just not possible that you don't have time for yourself even after the hectic day in office. But the fact is the inclination towards painting has been reduced. And you know you can still enjoy painting but then the inclination towards it has been reduced to such an extent that you start giving excuses to yourself that you don't have time to do painting again. And this is something you are lying to yourself along with people around you.

So whatever you do or say, but never lies to yourself. Controlling our emotions (like anger) is more difficult, but then lying to ourselves is much easier to control and can be achieved by just knowing about yourself and also thinking about yourself only for 5 min a day.

Hmm thats it.. Too much of all this for now.... I will end it here....

Hopefully I get time to write more blogs :P (See a True lie again :D ) ..........
